It is a hard balan...Hey thank you for your comment. It is a hard balance, and I didn't take up the climbing thing until after my kids were past the toddler years. I think it may be hard to climb very much when your child is newborn, and you probably won't want to as much anyway. As kids grow it gets easier. I don't have any secret formula, but I try not to push too much and it helps that my wife doesn't resent me for doing things I want to do.
